Spring 2017 must-haves!

1. / 2. / 3. / 4. / 5. / 6. / 7. / 8.

Hey friends! Today I'm bringing you some items on my Spring wish list, as well as my wardrobe must-haves for Spring! A new season is upon us and I'm LOVING every moment of it so far. I can't tell you how nice it is to peel back the layers and not wear my Winter coat everyday - pure bliss.

I recently picked up a copy of The Curated Closet from my local library and once I began to read it, I quickly realized I needed a copy of this book in my life (and you will too!) To me, I see it as a Style Bible and is definitely a great addition to any book collection. It talks about defining your style and catering to it via your wardrobe, and essentially how to curate the perfect closet! It opened my eyes up to a lot of things like wants vs. needs and quality over quantity. While reading it I found myself spending endless hours Pinning photos to my style and fashion board on Pinterest, as this is obviously one of the great ways to get inspiration and create a reference guide for yourself.

I created this Spring must-haves / wish list because I can't stop scouring the Internet for some new staples to add to my Spring wardrobe that will also carry me into the Summer and even Fall and Winter! To me, it's important to purge my closet and dresser before I even begin adding new items to it. It's something I adopted early on when I realized how much money I was wasting on new clothes and not wearing. The book touches on a lot of this too, which is very eye opening and helpful to remember.

1. pink suede loafers - I ordered a pair of these online from H&M and as soon as they arrived I fell in love! Not only are they the perfect rose shade of pink, they are incredibly comfy. I wore them walking around Toronto for over 6 hours the other day and did not get any blisters so that's a plus!

2. will you accept this rose tee? - Ban.do is killlllling it with all their new apparel they keep releasing and I want it ALL! I have a few shirts from their previous collections and I absolutely love all the graphic tees they come out with. This one is a great transitional piece to wear from Spring to Summer and would look great with a metallic skirt or some culottes!

3. striped culottes - I have a pair of striped culottes I bought from Zara last Spring and they are one of my favourite pieces in my wardrobe. They can easily be dressed up or down with a pair of sneakers or some nice heels and the shirt combinations are endless. Almost anything goes with these pants and that's why I love them.

4. Warby Parker sunglasses - after an eye test earlier this year, I learned my vision is NOT what it used to be (unfortunately) and once I had my new prescription filled and new lenses in my frames I realized how bad it was and how much clearer I could see after the fact! With that being said, I've been on the hunt for a perfect pair of prescription sunnies and these fit the bill. They are super cute and have a chic, classic vibe to them - needless to say they are on my wish list!

5. Sam Edelman mules - it's clear that mules are making a comeback and are all the rage this season. As soon as I saw these babies in yellow I couldn't stop thinking of them. I haven't quite bit the bullet just yet, these are still on my wish list but I can already imagine all the different outfit possibilities with these in my closet.

6. mint green velvet trousers - shout out to Studio DIY for bringing these to my attention! She included them in her Spring capsule wardrobe and as soon as I saw them I fell in love. The colour is beautiful for Spring and Summer and it's always good to introduce some items with different textures to your closet so I thought what better way than with VELVET! Another trend making a come back and soon these will be mine...

7. amigo circle bag - another Ban.do item on my wish list! I've always wanted a round purse and this one comes in my favourite shade of pink so it's basically meant to be! A match made in Heaven. It's a great size and I think it will suit a lot of different outfits. As someone who owns too many black purses, it's time I introduce some coloured ones to my collection.

8. wish you were here tee - if you haven't already noticed a trend here, I'm loving blush and rose toned pinks and graphic tees this season! This graphic tee is simple and fun and reminds me of Pink Floyd! With a pair of pink trousers or white jeans, I absolutely love this tee.
