Summer in Canada definitely goes by in a flash, so when it's here you really have to soak it all in while you can. Before you know it, a short Autumn hits us followed by the long, dreaded Winter! One of our favourite summer time activities is visiting the Toronto Centre Island. We don't have many beaches around, but if there's sand + water + sun - it works for me. The island holds a special place in Ruben and my hearts as it was one of the first places we went on a date over six years ago! It feels like an escape from the city, despite it being a short ferry ride away and the fact that you can see the CN Tower from the beach.Full disclosure, the above photo of these dreamy pink umbrellas is not on the Toronto Island sadly. We made a quick pit stop at Sugar Beach to scope the scene and hangout for a bit before heading over to the ferry. It's a great place to relax and have a picnic!
This past weekend was our last available weekend really to do anything summery before it felt too late, so we took the opportunity to hit up one of our favourite summer spots. For nostalgic purposes I actually ended up wearing the same skirt I wore with Ruben the first time we went six years ago hah! I'm a little cheesy like that ;) I enjoy the little things and these kinds of memories.
