around Toronto: Kensington Market

Last Monday my brother Alex, Ruben and I had the day off work and decided to take advantage of the beautiful summer day to hit up Kensington Market for lunch, dessert and to checkout some shops. It's such a fun neighbourhood in Toronto - there's so much to see and do with tons of diversity and culture at every corner. When it comes to dining and shopping the options are endless! You can find almost any delicacy from anywhere in the world before you head into the sea of vintage shops.

We had lunch at Torteria San Cosme - where the food and drinks were delicious and the environment even better! The aesthetic of this place was so fun and appealing with all it's colour and beautifully tiled floors. My brother and I shared a Cubana sandwich which was SO good we probably could've each had our own. Ruben went with the Pepito. I can't wait to go back and try the churros and and corn on the cob *drools*

Walking down Kensington Ave. you will find yourself weaving in and out of vintage clothing shops with countless one-of-a-kind pieces that are hard to resist. If I had it my way, I probably would've left that day with bags of clothes! It's so hard to not want everything you find.

Looking for a sweet treat post shopping? Head to Seven Lives Paleteria where you can get paletas, ice cream and my favourite - DOLE WHIP!! Yes, Dole Whip - that sweet treat you get a Disneyland that is almost impossible to find anywhere else. This candy coloured parlor is almost as enjoyable as the products themselves.

I had so much fun walking around Kensington and making this mini guide to some of my favourite spots within the neighbourhood, can't wait to show you more next time!
